Full Job Description

  • Support the management of the multi-disciplinary engineering and project management resource for domain including the delivery of engineering work and services using an Integrated Project Team structure comprising of members of several disciplines with multiple interfaces with programme leadership, customers and suppliers

  • Support the Integrated Project Team Lead in executing the plan and delivery of the scope to time, quality and cost

  • Control Account Manager delegate for the management of activities necessary to successfully plan and deliver defined work scope within budget, schedule and quality constraints

  • Deputise for the Head of Naval Architecture Integrated Project Team as required and assume the lead engineering role across the CSC (Canadian Surface Combatant) delivery team

  • To support the Engineering disciplines (Arrangements, Outfit, Seamanship, Structures, Weights, hydromechanics, aviation) in the delivery of engineering design and production output data, including management responsibility for Stage 1, 2 and 3 engineering Teams, ensuring delivery within cost, schedule and quality targets

    Degree qualified in Platform Engineering related discipline

  • Experience to Chartered Engineer Standard

  • Experienced in Life Cycle Management of bids and programmes

  • Extensive experience of managing Naval Architecture effort or equivalent experience in a heavy industrial/marine environment

  • People management experience

  • The Naval Architecture Integrated Project Team:

    The team delivers the entire Naval Architecture solution for the CSC programme to our external customers, supporting the management of the multi-disciplinary engineering and project management resource for the domain. This includes the delivery of engineering work and services using an Integrated Project Team structure comprising of members of several disciplines with programme leadership, customers and suppliers.
