Full Job Description

A primary focus will be day to day oversight and management of loads coming in to site and leaving site, including the preparation of loads, the accounting for incoming materials, and liaising between operational staff and the Supervision and Management Team.

This is a permanent position and a hands-on role, working as support for the Supervision and Management Team, and will prove challenging yet rewarding to someone with an enthusiastic approach, good communication skills and a can do attitude.

Weekly shifts

06.00 - 14.00 Mon - Thurs 6.00 - 13.00 Fri

OR

13.45 - 21.45 Mon - Thurs 12.45 - 19.45 Fri

You must be available to work both parts of this shift pattern, alternating between the two patterns on a weekly basis, these shifts include a 30 minute paid lunch break.

The successful candidate would ideally have worked in a manufacturing/production or recycling environment, and would have previous low-level supervisory experience. A current counter-balance FLT licence would be a distinct advantage, although none of these are essential if you are the right fit for the role, as training and support will be provided.

The business closes between Christmas and New Year. Those with 6 months service by Christmas Day will be paid during this shutdown with no requirement to use holiday entitlement to cover, those with less than 6 months service will need to use holiday entitlement from their flexible days if they want to be paid for the days which aren't Bank Holidays.

The basic rate of pay for this position is £12.00 per hour, however there is also a shift bonus of £10.00 per completed shift, making the hourly rate equivalent to £13.20 per hour. A further monthly bonus of £100 is paid for full attendance.

A skills-based bonus scheme is in place which offers additional payments upon the completion of training to operate certain specific equipment. This then becomes an ongoing permanent addition to your regular pay.

The successful candidate can expect to be a priority for any training courses and skills. enhancements when available.

Full PPE and workwear provided

Voluntary overtime regularly available at 1.5 times basic pay.
