Full Job Description

  • Working with functional leads, enabling line managers to drive accountability at the appropriate level and supporting managers to achieve this

  • Interpreting HR policy and supporting managers in the practical implementation of HR practice and employment legislation, to ensure compliance and consistency

  • Providing a professional advisory service that gives effective solutions to people issues, ensuring a balance between individual and business needs, and dealing with a full range of ER cases

  • Supporting the site leadership team with advice and interventions, to enable the successful delivery of the business strategy

  • Working on projects around colleague well-being and engagement

  • Analysing and reporting weekly and monthly on people-related data

  • Being the HR lead on a variety of projects and working groups

  • Supporting our wider group HR team, with occasional travel to other sites

  • Leading the site talent and succession planning agenda

    We're looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives when juggling a number of changing priorities., CIPD membership and qualification or time served in a generalised HR role

  • Experience working with a diverse workforce within a FMCG manufacturing environment is essential

  • Excellent, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices

  • A thorough understanding of the key principles of HR and how they can add value to the business

  • Proactive, organised and able to work flexibly to meet deadlines and to have the drive to deliver results

  • Ability to develop relationships with colleagues, and the credibility to lead and influence management

  • Self-motivated with passion, enthusiasm and tenacity

  • Full UK driving licence

    Salary is up to £50k for a full time equivalent

  • 33 days' annual leave (Pro-rated)

  • Hours/days flexible depending on experience

  • No less than 24 hours but up to 37.5
    Could be 3 full days; up to 5 full days; 4 or 5 shorter days
