Full Job Description

Flexjet, a premium aviation company with an ultra-modern fleet of private jets and a team with unrivaled experience is currently seeking a Flight Operations Support Officer to join our team in support of our Flight Operations group. This role would work closely with the Nominated Person for Flight Operations and Training to offer both generalist and specialised support to Ground Operations, Crew Training, Compliance, and Safety teams. As a Flight Operations Support Officer, the successful candidate has an opportunity for a significant impact in our organisation and reports into the Flight Operations Support Manager.,

  • Supporting the Flight Operations Support Manager and Flight Crew Training Coordinator in any reasonable function in support of the functionality of Flight Operations or Flight Crew Training administration.

  • Supporting, coordination and development of Centrik and Flight Operations SharePoint, including collaborative input and development of other company software systems, EFB, Foreflight, CampOps, CAMP etc.

  • Supporting Operations Manual management, Including OM part A, B, C, D, MSM, ATO Manual, MEL's, OEM manuals and departmental procedures manuals. Including editing and version control and liaison with Total AOC.

  • Oversight and support for Flight Operations documentation updates, including monitoring aircraft documentation requirements.

  • Creation and review of Airport Categorisation briefings.

  • Supporting departmental meetings, ensuring minutes are taken and ensuring actions are completed by associated stakeholders.

  • Supporting management of staff notices and administrative creation to support nominated persons, including involvement of the CMM for due approval.

  • Coordination, liaison and support for EFB management, including associated processes and IT liaison.

  • Safety department liaison and support, supporting investigations, safety reports, data collection, newsletters, SAG and SRB support and administrative functions.

  • Compliance monitoring liaison and support for audits and closure of internal and external findings, SAFA/SACA, including coordination and completion of departmental audits.

  • In collaboration with compliance and departmental stakeholder, support for regulatory applications with the regulatory authority.

  • Coordinating/supporting regulatory audits and meetings.

  • Liaison and collaboration across group organisations and with respective departments across Flexjet group of companies.

  • Supporting management staff with communications with the flight crew community and liaison with fleet management and HR over general crew welfare.

    Experience and demonstrated ability in a similar capacity within or working alongside a commercial air transport operator is preferred. However, this experience may be assessed alongside relevant and appropriate experience accompanied with a passion for aviation and willingness to learn specific subject matter.

  • Have a solid foundation in an aviation setting, ideally with a good working knowledge of EASA regulations and best practices within commercial air transport operations.

  • A passion for aviation and awareness of the unique mission and challenges within business aviation., Must possess the legal ability to work in the United Kingdom and/or Europe

  • Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required. Comfortable communicating at senior management level, with regulatory inspectors and with flight crew.

  • Ability and ideally experience working with flight operations software systems, such as Centrik.

  • Ideally experience working with Operations Manuals, Operational Procedures, Jeppesen Charts and regulatory authoring and publishing, or a basic level of knowledge and openness to learn

  • A good understanding of what is required running a commercial air transport AOC and flight operations, including: Standard Operating Procedures, the Operations Manuals, process management and EASA regulations.

  • An understanding of Crew Training requirements in regards to EASA and UK CAA regulations.

  • Some knowledge of airworthiness and Part-CAMO, aircraft performance and rotary wing operations is desirable.

  • Candidate should be able to work to deadlines and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.

  • Must be detail oriented, highly self-motivated, have strong organisational skills and able to work productively and independently or within a team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft software applications and the aptitude to work well with company specific software and systems.
