Full Job Description

This is an exciting new role for the ideal candidate to be part of Motor Volume leadership team and the main function of the job will be assisting the Operational Lead (as their Deputy) in leading and motivating a Motor Volume Defendant / Recoveries Insurance team to provide excellent service to our clients, whilst delivering financial performance.
You will work with the Operational Lead to assist with their overall responsibility for the operational management of the team including people management related activities; the financial performance of the team; the quality outputs in addition to adherence to MI completion, service standards and processes across the team. You will be a highly motivated, positive individual with a passion for developing people in line with achieving results.
You will be someone with a demonstrable record of proactive management, which is incisive and follows a data led approach to the oversight of the team and client account performance.

Your approach to helping lead and developing a team, maintaining and building day to day relationships with people in teams as well as clients and your ability to think creatively and outside the box will be important elements alongside the legal expertise you can bring to DWF.
We are keen to hear from candidates who can assist in driving the performance of the team to achieve targets and KPIs through appropriate performance management, to include ensuring regular 1:1's; team huddles/meetings along with adhoc meetings take place as and when required and have a track record of developing a team ethos and spirit to limit attrition within your team.
We want the candidate to be able to prepare and support the delivery of training to the team as well as the wider Motor Volume team, support bid activity (as required by the Operational Lead), ensure added value on cases and best practice is followed to ensure full SLA compliance.
You'll assist in managing employee relations activity within the team with the support of your supervisors and HR and undertake regular proactive file audits, within the teams creating action plans for improvement where appropriate, firm wide performance review cycle for your reports and the team, including feeding into End of Year reviews, objective setting and Quarterly Check In's.

We are looking for someone with the appropriate technical knowledge and ability to able to advise on matters as well as develop others, with previous experience of successfully managing a litigated caseload, have the proficient knowledge of the technical claims process, how to add value to a case and have prior experience of supervising and managing others.
An understanding of the wider Insurance market in terms of trends, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities would be an advantage as well.
