Full Job Description

Operational cover to assist the Crew Controller to monitor and maintain all Military and Civilian crew rosters (including engineers) for a 5 day window from day of operation. To ensure the day to day flying programme for Voyager Force/AirTanker Services is fully managed and remains compliant within CAA Flight Time Limitations and crew protocols.
Supporting the Crew Controller with all rostered duties or changes including but not limited to; delays, disruption and crew availability. Considering fatigue impact and ensuring that FRM principles and mitigations are in place to ensure a smooth, safe and efficient oversight of the flying programme.,


  • Updating the crew rosters as required for a 5 day period, notifying crew of their individual itinaries and report times. Ensuring any pertinent issues are communicated back to the Crew Scheduling, Crew Training Planning and relevant management teams.
  • Flexible, fast paced prioritisation of duties to ensure minimal disruption to the Voyager/ATrS flying programme.

  • Liaising with the Squadron and civilian crew management as required.

  • Support the long term, 3rd party contractual obligations and ad hoc charter requirements, ensuring all paperwork and checks are complete to carry out a safe, compliant and cost effective operation.

  • Contact for Crewing; handling queries from internal and external customers and suppliers.

  • Maintaining and booking all crew HOTAC and travel arrangements within the window of responsibility and generating and sending Crew lists as required.

  • Prepare all required admin duties as per the task sheet including but not limited to; Flight paperwork, Standby and Airport Standby checks, ensure all Journey logs have been received and processed accordingly, preparation of day to day and 3PR task sheets, ensure a comprehensive handover is completed at the end of each shift.

  • Capturing errors through the Error Log Process.

  • Delivering OJT to colleagues and providing associated training reports.

  • Be personally responsible for engaging in all facets of the role in line with the requirements of the ATrS SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems to provide a safe and efficient outcome to all that you do. This includes maintaining awareness of the company safety and quality policies and the hazard analyses applicable to your tasking.

    Experience in a Aviation environment is desirable, but not essential.

  • Demonstrable computer literacy, Customer Service and Communication skills.

  • Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • To be able to act as part of a team and under own initiative.

  • Proficient in the English language (written, verbal and reading).
