Full Job Description

This role is responsible for developing and delivering an Own Brand Growth pipeline for Produce, helping guide Tesco to achieve its commercial and brand KPIs for the category.

The role will see the successful candidate using their strategic thinking and passion for customers & data to spot opportunities for growth alongside the category teams.

The role is responsible for the Own Brand architecture in Produce, helping grow Own Brand participation across all tiers.

The role is responsible for leading the creation and evolvement of Customer led propositions across the category, challenging their thinking to ensure we deliver against key opportunity areas.

Whilst leading the thinking in the UK there will be a Group element to the role to create propositional thinking that can be adapted across our Group businesses.

You will be responsible for

  • Building strong relationships across the Produce team to drive and challenge their growth plans with a customer centric curious mind. The CPM function will be a key team to work alongside.

  • Alongside you will work alongside our partner teams in Customer (Insight, Design & Communications) to drive the delivery of the Produce Plan to customers.

  • Also working with Business Operations, Technical, Product Development, SRM, Supply Chain and related Operational teams to drive further delivery of the plan.

  • Sharing best practice and thinking across Tesco Group (especially the ROI/Central Europe teams)

  • Keeping up to date with the latest customer trends and competitor activity to spot opportunities for Tesco

  • Digesting customer insight from multiple sources to build customer led propositions rooted in this insight

  • Analysing customer and commercial insight to make bold choices about where Tesco should prioritise investment for customers.

  • Influencing others to support in the building of propositions, and understanding the customer, commercial, and brand implications when building propositions.

  • Work with the Communications team to feed the Produce Plan priorities into the relevant parts of the communications plan.

  • Building trusted relationships across all parts of the business, bringing together a cross functional team to develop and deliver each proposition across the 6Ps (Product, Packaging, Price, Place, People & Promotion) and leading engaged and efficient NWTs.
