Full Job Description

To provide a qualified specialist assessment and therapy service to adults as part of the Talking Therapies service. To take a senior, lead role and provide advice and consultation on clients' psychological care working within the policies, procedures, and protocols for the service. To manage and lead a team which will focus on service delivery of the Talking Therapies programme.

Full time and Part Time hours considered.

  • To lead, develop, monitor and evaluate new or existing areas of service delivery, care and treatment and to be involved in the implementation of various interventions.

  • To develop skills in the areas of training and supervision, providing clinical supervision to other qualified clinicians, and supervision of other team members' work, as appropriate.

  • To provide advice, consultation and training to staff in areas of the post holder's competence as required.

  • To provide a specialist assessment and therapy service based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources, including psychological assessments, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and in direct structured observations as well as interviews with clients.

  • To formulate and implement plans for the formal treatment of client's problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client's problems and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy according to N.I.C.E. guidelines.
