Full Job Description

  • Conducting and managing cases from start to finish, this will be across a range of large and / or complex cases within personal injury.

  • Assist in the communication with local/regional union officials on behalf of the firm.

  • Take appropriate daily decisions involving considerable exercise of judgment.

  • You will have experience of progressing cases to Trial, ADR and making interlocutory applications.

  • You will be able to demonstrate evidence of forecasting and billing, including a strong track record of recovering costs.

  • You will have supervision and coaching responsibilities for other members of the team and be able to work as part of the wider national claimant personal injury team.

  • You will be required to supervise junior member(s) of the team within your area.

    Are you an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer looking for a new opportunity? We're hiring! Our team of Personal Injury Lawyers are looking to add to their established team based in Newcastle. With a passion for putting the client first and demonstrating excellent client care, you will be a qualified Lawyer with significant post qualification experience, running a varied personal injury caseload including complex cases; as well as being able to demonstrate solid supervisory experience., A sound theoretical knowledge of the work and an ability to conduct cases from beginning to end.

  • Have existing and up to date knowledge of the law relating to PI and the civil litigation process.

  • Have solid experience usually gained over 5 years (or more) of handling a full caseload.

  • Effective, clear and concise communication skills.

  • Strong supervisory skills.

  • Excellent prioritisation skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and client care skills, demonstrating an ability to empathise with vulnerable clients is essential.

  • Construct clear and effective arguments, yielding the best result for our clients.

  • You will also be a team player and will enjoy engaging in marketing and business development opportunities.
  • Admitted solicitor or FILEX.
