Satellite Centre Lead MPE in RT Scientific Computing

The post holder will:
+ Take responsibility for ensuring the safe delivery of Radiotherapy at the Satellite Radiotherapy Unit (SRU) in conjunction with other Medical Physics Experts (MPEs) and senior staff within the Radiotherapy Department, with particular concentration on all aspects of computing related medical devices within the service including Treatment Planning Systems, Dose Calculation Software and Oncology Information Systems.
+ Act as MPE under the IR(ME)R 2017 legislation across all areas of external beam radiotherapy
+ Provide specialist advice at MPE level to multidisciplinary teams and provide advice on the most complex patient treatment plans, radiobiology and dosimetric issues.
+ Apply extensive specialist experience in radiotherapy scientific computing and will be the lead MPE in radiotherapy computing based at the SRU.

This post will be based at the Satellite Radiotherapy Unit (SRU), but the post holder will be line managed by the Radiotherapy Physics Computing Section Manager at VCC.
