Full Job Description

Our new Teacher role will be available to start in September 2024, so if you're an inspirational, dynamic and passionate Primary Teacher looking for a new opportunity where you could be a part of the excitement of setting up and helping to develop a new school from day one, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Hold a teaching degree and is now ready to move into their first teaching post

  • Teaching degree (or equivalent)

  • Passion for working with young people with SEND

  • Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.


  • The ideal candidate should:
  • Aspire to be an outstanding classroom practitioner who puts their students first

  • Have the energy, passion, and drive to work with students who have barriers to their learning

  • Be committed to raising standards and opportunities for SEND students

  • Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills.

  • Have the commitment and drive to work with young people who have experienced challenges in their educational journey.

  • A passion to work with young people with ASD, SEMH and additional needs.

  • Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education.

    Fortitude School is a new small specialist independent school, set in the beautiful rural village of Alcester. We are also very lucky to have our own therapeutic farm.


  • We will be providing 30 young people aged 5-11 all of whom have a diagnosis of special educational needs an disabilities (SEND) such as ASD, SEMH and other associated challenges, who will be better suited in a nurturing specialist setting.
