Post Office Clerk

· Welcome each customer with a smile & friendly greeting

· Build up a rapport with the customers

· To act in a professional manor at all times especially when handling confidential paperwork or issues for customers

· Promotion of the Post Office goods & services

· Be the first point of contact for customers with queries or complaints face to face or via the telephone

· The ability to manage confrontation whilst remaining calm and professional at all times

· Cash handling accurately and confidently

· Maintaining an accurate cash drawer at all times

· Keep the Post Office area clean and orderly

·must have post office experience.

A positive, helpful attitude toward customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately

· The ability to pass the Post Office security checks

· The willingness to undertake regular Compliance tests

· The ability to use numbers

· Self-motivation and the ability to work without direct supervision is an integral part of the role

· The ability to work well under pressure

· The ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance is essential

· Able to walk / stand for 100 per cent of each shift,

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

• Post office: 2 years (required)


Work Location: In person

We are Village stores with post office. This is only shop in the village, and I believe it's hart of the community.

Mon to Friday

1.00pm until 7.45pm, Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.75 per week
