Full Job Description

We are currently looking for Early Years Practitioners to join our family on a permanent, full time basis in our day nursery based in Hillsborough.

As an Early Years Practitioner in our nursery, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and education to our children. You will work with our existing team to create engaging activities that promote learning and development for them.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • To plan and implement age-appropriate activities for the children to help them meet their individual needs

  • To provide a supportive, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children in your care

  • To ensure the environment is kept safe and clean throughout the day

  • To create and build positive relationships with the children, their families and all colleagues, communication well with all

  • To observe and assess the children's progress and keep accurate records of this through our In The Moment Planning Approach

  • To support children's personal, social and emotional development

  • To ensure compliance with all safeguarding procedures at all times, This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications. Our nursery practitioner will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and manager.

    We are looking for passionate Level 3 Early Years professionals, who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to our children., Applicants must have a enthusiasm and passion for working with children, and a desire to help children develop and become the best version of themselves they can be

  • Applicants must have a QCF Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in either Playwork or Child Care, Learning and Development (or willingness to start and complete one as soon as they would be offered the position)

  • Applicants must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate or be willing to complete one upon starting the job

  • Applicants must be willing to attend and complete all essential training courses

  • Knowledge (necessary) and experience (preferred) working with young children

  • Able to work well as a part of a team, GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
