Full Job Description

Deliver equipment to and from customers on site.

- Operate and provide demos for tools/plant.

- Clean various pieces of equipment and prepare them for re-hire.

- Perform PAT testing and electronic testing of equipment.

- Service and repair tools/plant.

- Liaise with customers.

- Cleaning duties around the workplace and compounds.

- Order spares and parts for equipment repairs.

- Inspect, maintain and clean company vehicles.

- Computer-based roles including creation of hire contracts, off-hires and invoices.

- Load and unload plant/equipment.

- Assemble and install components according to diagrams, or technical specifications.

- Collaborate and communicate with team members effectively.

- Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies.

We are seeking a full time fitter/driver to join our team at our family-run, tool and plant hire centre. As a small team, the role is varied and no two days are the same! As part of the position, you would be responsible for assembling, servicing and repairing various pieces of equipment, ranging from small hand held tools up to excavators and dumpers . Detailed training will be provided however this position requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with precision and attention to detail., Strong mechanical knowledge and experience of working with tools/engines.

- Experience of working in a team environment.

- Full UK driving licence with the ability to tow trailers.

- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with colleagues and customers.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Basic knowledge of IT.

Beneficial skills and experience:
- Knowledge of repairing and servicing tools and plant equipment would be preferred.

- Delivery driver experience.

-Familiarity with flatbed trucks and commercial driving.

- History of servicing portable toilets and site welfare equipment.

In house training provided.

- External training courses funded by the company.
