Full Job Description

The L&D team works within Organisational Development alongside the other HR functions to deliver a proactive and efficient HR service. Reporting into the Senior Leadership Development Manager, and working closely with the L&D team you will be supporting the implementation of TLT's active learning strategy as set by the Head of OD to deliver the HR People Strategy, including designing and delivering core skills, transition programmes and client workshops. You will, As an Learning and Development Trainer your day to day remit includes:

  • Drive the firm's active learning culture through a core learning offering for all colleagues, both legal groups and business services

  • Own the design and delivery of the firm's core skills workshops and client delivery curriculum

  • Own the design and delivery of transition development programmes for new starters, Newly Qualified and Associates

  • Design and deliver appropriate interventions that embed learning pre and post workshop / programme

  • Proactively support the wider L&D team with the design and delivery of development pathways, matter supervision and on-boarding welcome events.

  • Continually review learning approaches with the latest thinking and technology available managing the quality and suitability of materials on the LMS

  • Effectively manage the end to end engagement processes of all workshops and programmes that results in maximum attendance

  • Own all reporting around programme and workshop delivery including attendance, participant feedback and impact on performance

  • Support the provision of mandatory and regulatory learning across the firm, The HR team consists of the HR Business Partners, Reward, Recruitment and Organisational Development, with specialists in Learning and Development, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing and Sustainability. Making sure everyone thrives during their time at TLT is the focus of our HR team's work every day. We provide strategic and operational support to our leaders and teams and our HR specialists make sure our people are skilled, creative, valued, motivated, flexible and committed, working in a culture that enables them to perform at their very best.

    Confident facilitator able to engage delegates in a range of face to face, live online and pre-recorded materials including confident with teams / zoom delivery

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and able to respond to rapidly changing needs of stakeholders and clients.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, generating cooperation and buy in to thoughts and ideas

  • Proven ability of taking a programme from LNA through to launch

  • Confident public speaker

  • Ability to create engaging supporting material using Word, PowerPoint etc.

  • A relevant coaching or learning and development qualifications such as CIPD / PDIP in HRD would be desirable - internal qualifications will also be considered.

  • The role will involve some travel to deliver face to face training across the estate (all travel will be in line internal safety protocols and Government guidelines.)
