Full Job Description

Supporting IBC members directly aswell as working closely with Business Development Managers and the Category team to manage a ledger of Silver, bronze and grey segmented existing members.

· Actively manage existing members and upsell both buying deals and services using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

· Relentlessly strive for new opportunities in existing and new members to deliver the sales and margin targets including promotional and ad-hoc campaigns.

· Qualify leads and prospect accounts (often cold calling) over the telephone and digitally to enhance the pipeline opportunities to grow members.

· Assisting members with enquiries and follow up actions using the members portal to offer excellent customer service and assistance for members

· Champion the customer relationship management system (CRM) to develop account plans to grow existing members alongside the BDM team

· Support the Category and Marketing Teams with targeted insights on chosen campaigns and member segments

· Self-starter, who is motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven with a positive "can do" attitude

· Ability to quickly win members, suppliers and colleagues trust and respect and build great relationships.

· Confident dealing with members and suppliers

· A professional telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· A team player

· Excellent IT and research skills

Experience

· A stable career to date with a minimum 2 years in a customer facing sales environment

· Sound building supplies and product knowledge is desirable

· Previous sales experience in a builder's merchant environment is desirable.

IBC have established key working relationships with the BMF and NMBS, and with more than 200 members across the UK, we have established ourselves as a leading force and key voice in the industry enabling us to offer pricing policies that enable the smaller merchants to compete with the larger operators in the sector and to maintain and increase margins.

As part of our on-going corporate strategy, we wish to establish a new internal sales executive role based at our offices reporting to the Head of Business Development to Support the UK Business Development Management Team in their responsibilities to develop and expand the consortium's membership across the UK. Additionally the successful candidate will be required to contribute towards a culture of Sales Excellence throughout the member touchpoints (telesales & digital) to engage connect and grow penetration in our chosen categories and maximise sales performance across all member segments.
