Are you a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in finance and a passion for ensuring compliance and efficiency? We're seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our FTSE100 business as an Internal Control Manager!

We are part way through an Internal Control our Financial Reporting (ICFR) programme to improve and embed our key financial processes and controls framework for the RS Group. You will play a critical role in this programme and have significant impact.

What you will be doing:

  • Promote the culture of financial controls risk awareness by influencing the entire Group about the importance of following and documenting processes and controls, so much so that they become part of our business-as-usual mindset.

  • Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and training on financial controls to finance and non-finance people of all levels across the Group.

  • This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your expertise will help drive positive change within RS., At RS, as well as the usual employee benefits you'd expect from a FTSE listed company, we've just introduced several new Family Friendly Policies including:

  • Help for people to take control of ongoing Health conditions such as diabetes or asthma.

  • Support for Neurodiverse colleagues and families with neurodiverse members.

  • Support for Women at different life stages from streamlined fertility support through to diagnosis and monitoring of both endometriosis and menopause.

  • Helping our LGBTQ+ community through enhanced coverage for trans colleagues.

Qualified accountant with experience gained in a dynamic and professional international business.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

  • Change management and project management experience.

  • Proactive desire to add value and improve existing processes.

  • Knowledge of what good processes and controls look like and the desire to quickly become an expert in 2LOD and ICFR.

  • Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude.

At RS we've been solving engineering problems for over 80 years: big ones, small ones, easy and difficult ones. We turn the 'what ifs' into the 'why nots', the impossible into the possible.
