Full Job Description

As Fixed Network Authority you will be responsible for the creation of IP design to support all demands across Vodafone UK, whilst providing leadership and guidance on resolving complex technical issues.

  • You will support design, testing and validation, implementation and integration and acceptance activity of the network.

  • You will own both infrastructure and service design and solutions, whilst leading innovation to bring new ideas and products to the market quickly and efficiently. Whilst ensuring design aligns to the company roadmaps/strategy.

  • You will be seen as the SME providing technical guidance to assist configuration and support for all areas relating to IP design.

  • You will own the technical relationship with vendors, continually looking to deliver improvements to existing and new design.

  • You will work with the problem management team for any issues relating to the UK IP design, ensuring the problem is understood and any design changes required are delivered on time.

    You will have in depth knowledge and understanding of the working and operation of key network processes including BGP, ISIS, MPLS, VPNs, L3 VPN's, QOS.

  • You will have knowledge of telecommunications systems and services.

  • You will have knowledge of Cisco and Nokia hardware and software.

  • You will have excellent knowledge of services (mobile, consumer and enterprise) utilising MPLS networks.
