Full Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an End User Computing Analyst to join our growing team in Liverpool. You will be responsible for the for the day-to-day management of IT systems across LSTM and its subsidiaries.

As our End User Computing Analyst, you will develop and maintain the end user experience across multiple operating systems, ensuring the end user computing services are reliable, secured, and fit for purpose.

Working within the IT Services team, you will help to develop, enforce, and maintain processes and standards across Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

As End User Computing Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the end user computing experience for all users, including the deployment and provision of mobile/desktop device hardware, software builds, user credentials and email services.

  • Leading the implementation of end user computing developments, creating project plans and improving processes and efficiencies.

  • Proactively reviewing existing services and strategies, including the configuration of Group Policy Objects to create a robust and secure endpoint experience for end users.

  • Managing endpoints OS and all application updates via device management tools.

  • Leading the process of building desktop images and device provisioning workflows across end-user computing operating systems.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and a strong user centric ethic within a fast-paced environment. Problem solving, time management, communication and organisational skills are paramount to the role., Possession of or studying towards BTEC Level 3 Diploma in IT or equivalent, ideally with possession of relevant Microsoft Certifications (MCSE, MCSA, MTA).

  • Evidence of up-to-date knowledge to keep abreast of changes within the industry, with a good working knowledge of Windows Server and Windows 10/11 Operating Systems, Microsoft Azure Services, M365 services, including Microsoft 365 apps for Enterprise, Exchange Online and Teams.

  • Backup solutions for on premise and cloud with experience of Microsoft 365 products and tenant administration (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)

  • Experience with Windows Server Role Services (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, IIS, Hyper-V, Remote Access, WDS & MDT, Windows Print services); Endpoint Protection and Security (AV, AM, EDR, OS Updates) and management solutions; and experience of Hypervisors/Hyperconverged solutions.

  • An ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies with an enthusiasm for the field and industry.

  • Flexible in approach whilst able to work effectively as both part of a team and individually.
