Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Manager (Specialist Qualified) to join the Nuneaton and Bedworth Early Help Team working alongside the existing Team Manager ensuring the coordination and delivery of Early Help Services across the Borough.

Warwickshire County Council redesigned its Early Help service in 2019 to ensure children, young people and their families receive the right support at the right time. The service has continued to grow and develop becoming nationally recognised and recently becoming a Partner in Practice across the West Midlands.

The post holder will be motivated in the coordination and operation of Early Help services across the locality, working closely with a range of key stakeholders including statutory partners, service providers, the voluntary sector, children, young people and their families. The Team Manager will manage the locality team of Family Support Workers and Targeted Support Officers to meet the outcomes of the service in addition to being actively involved in the wider service leadership team who model WCC behaviours and values to ensure we are the best we can be. Recently, Warwickshire County Council has been successfully chosen as a Wave 2 participant in the Families First for Children Pathfinder. Warwickshire is one of seven new areas to deliver the programme, which aims to improve services to help more children stay with their families in safe and loving homes and protect vulnerable children from harm where needed.

The Pathfinder Programme vision is to rebalance children's social care and avoid costly crisis intervention by offering more meaningful and effective early support. All local authorities are expected to implement the recommendations, with national roll out expected in 2025-2027. By becoming a pathfinder, Warwickshire's Children and Families Service is going to be at the forefront of these once in a lifetime reforms.
