Full Job Description

The Deputy Director of Finance will provide strategic and inclusive leadership and direction to the Finance Department and will be accountable to the Chief Finance Officer for the overall day-to-day performance of the Finance Department., The role will:o Provide strategic and inclusive leadership/line management to the four areas within the finance department including direct line management of the heads of procurement, projects, planning and costing, financial control and business services.o Act as a role model for the DBTH Way and We Care Valueso Ensure a comprehensive and pro-active service is provided to the organisation across management accounts, income and contracting, costing, financial accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital, treasury management and charitable funds.o Provide specific senior input to highly complex issues requiring strategic financial advice.o Deputise for the Chief Finance Officer as appropriate, and represent the Trust, both internally and externally at senior level taking full accountability for any decisions taken on their behalf
