Full Job Description

Reporting into the Building Services Manager, the Building Services Supervisor will ensure that all facilities within the MAG Buildings and Satellites operate effectively to enable the delivery of a high quality, reliable service to passengers, tenants, and other internal / external customers, through effective and efficient maintenance of airport assets. This includes the management of work in accordance with prevailing MAG processes & contributing towards the continuous improvement of the maintenance service.
Accountabilities

  • Co-ordinate the engineering team, ensuring all Reactive and Planned Maintenance tasks are completed to the agreed service level agreements.

  • Ensuring all documentation is up to date.

  • Administering and continually updating the PPM system and producing reports for Reactive and PPM tasks through the Maximo System, to ensure all opportunities for service improvements are met.

  • Ensuring all Health & Safety standards are met by taking responsibility for personal and team compliance with Company Health and Safety Policies.

  • Maintain records and files to current STAL QHSE standards.

  • Manage sickness and holiday cover for site staff and reporting data to Management Team

  • Ordering of equipment and materials.

  • Ensure all plantrooms and switch rooms etc. are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

  • Carry out regular toolbox talks.

  • Operate Permit to Work system in conjunction with management team.

  • Manage sub-contractors in conjunction with management team.

  • Attend weekly meetings and ensuring that relevant reports are issued.

  • Managing small works projects.

  • To demonstrate a flexible and helpful attitude, assisting in the smooth running of the airport by always maintaining professional standards including personal appearance in accordance with uniform standards.

  • To deputise for the Building Services Manager in their absence.

    To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to apply initiative and deal with rapidly changing priorities in a flexible manner. You must have a can-do attitude and approach, while rapidly integrating into a team-working environment. As an individual, you will need to have excellent communication skills with people at all levels and be able to organise, plan and prioritise.

  • Demonstrable experience of providing facilities maintenance in a complex, busy environment.

  • 17th / 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations

  • City and Guilds in Part 2 or 3 electrical/mechanical engineering

  • IOSH Managing/Working Safely

  • Electrical Safety Rule Training

  • Able to demonstrate that through formal training or apprenticeship schemes and / or practical experience has gained underpinning technical knowledge and technical skills in facilities maintenance.

  • Experienced in working with a Maintenance Management system and operating under a 'safe system of work'.

  • AP / LV AP experience
