Full Job Description

We are a small, friendly company looking for a bookkeeper to manage the department. The hours of work are 20 hours per week and will ideally be worked over 5 days. We have tried remote working on several occasions in the past and find it does not work in our business.

Main roles and responsibilities of the job will include:

Using Sage 50 Accounts: -

Sales invoicing

Processing sales receipts

Issuing monthly statements

Credit Control

Purchase invoice entry

Setting up purchase payments for approval on the online bank account

Managing petty cash transactions.

Checking & reconciling bank and credit card statements

Completing quarterly VAT returns

Using Sage 50 Payroll: -

Company monthly payroll including setting up the monthly Direct Debit for PAYE & N.I.

Previous experience in a similar role

Must have good working knowledge of SAGE 50 accounts and payroll and spreadsheet software.

Good communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative.

Outstanding attention to detail

Excellent Maths and English skills are essential.
