Full Job Description

Within a diverse and social team you'll be a key role within the higher education editorial department in ensuring our products are engaging university students. This role will provide you with the opportunity to get involved with some of our best digital innovation to date and work closely with other departments whilst taking ownership over your own projects. Key duties include:

  • Gain and maintain understanding of the competitive environment and customer needs by interacting with them directly through reviews, surveys, direct engagement, and voice of the customer

  • Complete detailed analyses of our competitors' products and analyse third-party data

  • Coordinating the market review of new proposals: research reviewers, issue review invitations, set deadlines/follow up, collate and anonymize reviews

  • Coordinate external peer review of draft manuscripts

  • Commission and coordinate the preparation of market-required resources to support the use of our content and products in the classroom

  • Evaluate content for quality and fit with market need. Draw on usage data (where available), market feedback, and other metrics to inform strategic decisions about which supplements to support

  • Manage projects to ensure their completion to brief, schedule, budget, and in line with available resource

  • Manage author relationships

  • Ensure project tracking systems and CRM (customer relationship management) systems are up to date with accurate data

  • Experience and/or knowledge of educational publishing
