AAT Apprentice ADVANCED ACCOUNTANCY (MIDLANDS) LIMITED

You will largely be working on bookkeeping, VAT and accounts & tax return preparation but you will also assist in some of the day to day functions that are essential to keeping the office running smoothly.

As an Accounts Apprentice, your duties will include but are not limited to:

Bookkeeping - entering sales and purchase invoices for a variety of clients
Using accounting software to record information and reports
· Control account reconciliations

· Assisting with the preparation of year-end and management account files for clients who are sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

· Assisting clients with any accounting software/bookkeeping queries they might have

· Preparation of Self-assessment tax returns

· Office duties including administration, filing, answering the telephone, photocopying, scanning, meeting visitors, making drinks for meetings etc as required

· Supporting business needs of the team, director and accountants that visit the office daily.

After successfully achieving the AAT Level 3 qualification, the candidate will be considered for the Level 4 AAT Apprenticeship training and/or the opportunity to progress to a more senior level with the firm and a career within accountancy., Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Problem solving skills, Administrative skills, Number skills, Logical, Team working, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Math (Grade 4/C) Essential
